TEDDY
Meet TEDDY, a sweet 1 ½ year old boy of 45 pounds with a beautiful rough coat and classic black & white markings.
TEDDY is very social with people. He loves hugs, pets, giving kisses, and hanging near his people. TEDDY gets along well with his foster BC packmates and shows high drive behavior. This includes play nipping, vocalizing when excited, and experiencing some anxiety with change (e.g. not with his human/dog pack, transitioning to a new home, etc.). His foster family has been using positive reinforcement, watching him improve every day.
We’re suggesting a home with the following:
• Owner knowledge of herding dog training strategies that use positive rewards to set and reinforce good behaviors.
• A mentally and physically active environment – e.g. dog playmates, regular hikes/walks, chew toys and games.
• Little time alone – Teddy is most comfortable when he is in proximity to his human and dog family.
TEDDY travels well, sleeps in his crate all night, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations.
