ADOPTED – WILLOW

Female, 3 years, 40 lbs
WILLOW is a beautiful white & black girl, about 3 years of age, with a soft coat–perfect for petting. And Willow loves to be petted! Willow loves to follow her foster parents as they work around their property; she is never far away. She is friendly & affectionate, nuzzling her foster mom & dad’s hands, wrapping around them, & even sometimes jumping up simply to be closer. She wiggles with joy when she sees her foster parents, & sometimes gives little kisses on their fingers. This girlie is such a sweetheart! She is even good with people she first meets. And she is good at the groomer’s shop & veterinarian’s office.
WILLOW is a busy girl. She interacts with other dogs, but while she enjoys them, she isn’t as interested in them as she is her people. She does best with dogs her own size (40#) or bigger. She mostly ignores small dogs, but can sometimes pay “too much” attention to them. She seems to ignore cats. We think she’d like to live in a home with a dog her size or in a home as an only dog who can lap up all the love & attention from her person. She loves to travel in the car, so she doesn’t miss out on anything her people are doing.
WILLOW is treat-motivated & very trainable. Like a typical border collie, she learns quickly. She is crate-trained & hasn’t had any accidents in her foster home. She only barks when other dogs are excited. Willow is comfortable on a leash, but her leash-training is still a work-in-progress. Willow would thrive best in an active home where she gets to be included in activities with her people. She loves to learn, so she would like a home where she gets to continue her training & learn new things–like maybe dog sports. She loves to run, & is an agile jumper (6 foot fence, please!)
WILLOW is micro-chipped, spayed, heartworm negative and on preventative, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
