Male, 5 months, 25 lbs

Zuki is a five-month-old Border Collie mix weighing approximately 25 pounds. He is full of personality and has a wonderful blend of confidence, curiosity, and intelligence.

Zuki is highly food- and toy-motivated and loves training with his human. He learns quickly, enjoys engaging with people, and is always excited to earn a reward. Like any typical confident puppy, he wants to experience the world—whether that’s exploring new places, meeting new people, or trying new adventures.

One of Zuki’s favorite activities is swimming. In fact, if you let him, he’d happily spend the entire day in the water! He absolutely loves recreational swimming and usually has to be convinced that it’s time to come out.

He’s also an excellent traveler. Whether riding in a crate or secured in a seatbelt harness, Zuki settles quietly and is a dream to have in the car.

Zuki is a social butterfly with other dogs and thoroughly enjoys canine play. He especially loves bitey face, wrestling with adult dogs that appreciate his playful puppy antics and are happy to engage with him.

As a growing puppy, Zuki is still learning leash skills and discovering the benefits of checking in with his handler during walks. He is eager to learn, responds well to positive reinforcement, and is making great progress.

Zuki is not a “weekend warrior” kind of dog. He isn’t the type of dog who will be content with a few outings on the weekends and little activity during the week. As a young Border Collie mix, he will thrive with daily physical exercise, opportunities to explore new environments, ongoing training, and plenty of mental enrichment. He is a busy, intelligent guy who enjoys having a job to do. Meeting those needs will go a long way toward preventing the behavior challenges that can develop in under-stimulated dogs.

Zuki would be an excellent match for someone who enjoys training and wants a dog they can truly partner with. Whether it’s hiking, swimming, agility, nose work, trick training, obedience, or simply incorporating training into everyday life, Zuki has the enthusiasm and ability to reach his full potential. With the right guidance and an active lifestyle, he’s going to make an exceptional companion and adventure partner.

Zuki is crate trained and house trained

Zuki is started on his puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. He is also on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. As a condition of puppy adoption, he will need to be altered when he reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded.
