Let us introduce our handsome boy, Radar, who was found straying in Burson near Warren Road. There is something that shouts “classic doggo” about his style; just a great looking, super happy, friendly guy. We love his beautiful coloring. He sports a light colored undercoat with black tips, white socks and chest, and warm amber eyes.
Radar is a joyful, active dog who has been paired with lots of other dog buddies both male and female. He seems to love most dogs and is a great play buddy.
Because this energetic boy has the playfulness of a young pup, he will need lots of exercise in order to thrive. He’d be a fabulous buddy for an active owner or family. Another dog at home for him to romp with would be excellent. Radar is so excited to see and sniff all the things that he does pull on leash. He is quickly learning that his handlers don’t enjoy being yanked around, but he would benefit from some focused training in that regard. On the other hand, he knows sit, down, and takes treats with a soft mouth. He’ll also flip over on his back with a huge, goofy, tongue-lolling grin on his face, inviting belly rubs.
Radar has been keeping his kennel clean, so although we cannot make guarantees he may be potty trained.
Radar is neutered and can go home with you right away. We do not have info on his attitude toward cats.
Radar presents as a classic, people-friendly herding mix—smart, engaged, and very social. He has done well with multiple dog playmates (male and female) and enjoys interaction with both dogs and handlers.
