Sam is 6 years old, weighs about 43 pounds, and is incredibly sweet, friendly, playful, and cuddly with people. He does great with kids and absolutely lives for human companionship. Sam is a true people-lover who just wants to be near his person as much as possible.
Sam came to us through our coalition partners here in Sonoma County. Unfortunately, due to our small shelter size and limited resources, we have had very little adoption interest for him. Sam is a herding breed who becomes stressed in the kennel environment, and long-term shelter living has been especially difficult for him.
Sam can be selective with other dogs and would do best in a single-dog household where he can receive the focused love and structure he thrives on. In the right home or foster setting, we know Sam will truly shine — he is loyal, affectionate, and eager to bond.
