ACE is a one-year-old old 50-pound Border Collie-blend with long legs, a soft medium coat, and beautiful markings including a dot on top of his head! As a young dog, this boy loves to play and run. He is a little shy but loves pets and cuddles. ACE is curious and alert, does not show typical herding behaviors, and is smart. ACE likes to be out in the yard experiencing the day, but really prefers to be with other dogs and his people. He easily settles down for naps in his crate, and sleeps the entire night through.
ACE has well-developed dew claws on his rear legs that might be similar to those of guardian dogs. The veterinarian says that the dew claws are fully developed digits and should be left alone. They have not caused any cause for concern, even though ACE is an active player and wrestler.
ACE is housebroken, crate trained and is treat motivated. He is ready for your friendship and guidance. He rides well in the car and gets along well with his foster pack mates. ACE might do best in a house with another dog buddy who loves to play. We have not tested him with cats (alas, we are a cat-less household).
