IN MEMORIAM – Border Collie Rescue of Northern California (BCRNC)

Sad news comes from our sister organization, Border Collie Rescue of Northern California. Our hearts go out to all involved. Many of us started with BCRNC until one became two in order to better serve The North State. The following announcement was posted on their Facebook site:
Border Collie Rescue of Northern California (BCRNC), the original border collie rescue in The North State, is sad to announce the passing of our Founder and Leader. Terri passed away recently after a brief illness. Therefore, after roughly three decades of operation (Born 1998), we will be closing our doors.
In discussions with Terri prior to her passing, she asked that we thank all the volunteers for fostering, transporting, and caring for our many border collies, truly going above and beyond time after time. She also wanted to thank our adopters for giving our BC’s such wonderful homes and full lives. She so enjoyed the interactions, updates, and camaraderie over the years, especially at calendar time. It meant so much to her that her community loved to participate. We shared many happy and sometimes sad times but never regretted a moment. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
