Available Dogs
Adopted 9/14/14, we pay tribute today to #Dirkthedog, who crossed Rainbow Bridge on the evening of September 2nd 2019. He had a wonderful time with Dad Ed and Mom Julie. Dad says “He was, by far, the best dog I’ve ever had. He brought more joy and peace to my life than can be imagined. He never wanted any more than a head scratch and gave so much more in return.”
Dirk’s time was spent going for walks on the ranch, heading for a swim in the creek or simply being by dad’s side in the office. His big brown eyes would melt away the worst days. His favorite position was lying flat on his back, paws in the air with a grin on his face.
Also known as “Dirk the Artist” we have included his photo with beret on his head and brush in his mouth. The painting included was done for Paws of Love.
Dirks foster mom Peggy says “Dirk was one of the most beloved foster dogs we have ever had the pleasure to bring into our home. He absolutely left his paw prints on my heart as well as Bill’s. He was certainly a special boy and he was lucky to have been adopted by you….We know he was well loved….and Dirk knew that, too!!! You gave him the best second chance at a happy and fulfilled life!”
Ed wrote this to Dirk’s foster mom “I write to say thank you for five of the most wonderful years of my life. When I’m ready, I’m hopeful another #dirkthedog will be ready to adopt me.”
Dirk, you left an everlasting stamp on those whose lives you touched. You are so missed but never forgotten. RIP #Dirkthedog.
