ADOPTED BUN

Male, Months, 26 lbs pounds
Meet BUN! BUN is a tri-colored, smooth coated border collie mix boy about 5 months of age, 26 pounds. One of four brothers (the other three doing very well in their new homes), BUN has really blossomed into a confident young boy. He is a delightful pup who loves nothing more than to hang with his hoomans and / or his doggy friends. His favorite place is on his foster mom’s lap while we are watching TV.
BUN is highly treat-motivated, toy-motivated, and moderately praise-oriented, which should make training a blast. Hold a treat in your hand, or shake that treat jar, and you have his undivided attention. He enjoys romping around, playing tug, and chewing on toys. BUN is house and crate trained. He settles nicely in his crate for meals and down time, but then that puppy exuberance takes over and let the games begin. Walk by and he perks up, letting you know it’s time for food or play, and hopefully both. He loves his dog friends, and largely ignores the indoor cats.
BUN would benefit from having another dog in the home to show him the way, but with proper attention he will be fine as an only dog. BUN may enjoy activities like nosework, agility, or Treibball to stimulate his mind and exercise his growing body. He is not an over-the-top active BC, but he will need to burn off some of that energy to be the best dog he can be. If you are looking for a fun-loving, adorable, young boy to include in all your family activities, you have come to the right place.
BUN is started on his puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. As a condition of puppy adoption, he will need to be altered when he reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about BUN, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org.
