ADOPTED – EMMA

Female, 1 years, 42 lbs.
Say hello to our sweet girl EMMA. She is a 1yr old, 42 lb, rough coat BC. EMMA is a beautiful young girl with a lovely soft coat, and a soft personality to match. Her favorite thing is her person and she will lay her head in your lap while you give her love and attention. Then she will settle on the floor nearby.
EMMA is a medium to high energy girl who loves to run zoomies in the yard and play with the other dogs in foster. She is sometimes shy when meeting new people but with time will warm up and come over for pets. If startled, she will sometimes piddle, but that has lessened over time in her foster. She does not chase the cats in her foster home, and would likely do OK with dog savvy cats.
EMMA is a young girl who is learning how to be a member of the family. She is just starting on basic training and has limited leash skills. She can be shy in new situations and her adopter will need to be patient with her and give her extra time to learn new skills and get used to new surroundings.
EMMA is potty trained and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She will also go into her crate for naps during the day on her own and is fine being crated while her foster is away for a few hours. She does not have free roam of the house. EMMA loves her chew toys and does not chew anything inappropriate but she does like to take all of the toys out onto the lawn when given the opportunity.
Given her shy and soft nature, EMMA would do best in a home without small children. She will need someone with BC experience who will give her lots of patience and can work with her to help her blossom. Her foster is looking for an adopter with training experience or someone who has worked with trainers in the past and can do so again with this sweet girl.
EMMA has a heart of gold, and will make a wonderful companion for someone who understands the needs of this very special girl. Given time and patience, she will reward you with her love, loyalty and sweet nature.
