JOSIE is an energetic 5-year-old girl of about 40#. Everyone who meets her loves her. She is friendly and social with everyone she meets, and has gotten along just fine with the dogs in her foster home; we can’t say how she is with cats. She loves to play and romp, but she settles nicely, happy to curl up in her bed with a bone or chewy toy. She is not over-the-top like some border collies and has an off-switch. JOSIE is very treat-motivated and loves toys, so they can both be used to motivate her in training.
JOSIE has nice manners. She isn’t formally trained to walk on a leash, but she is not a serious puller, or underfoot. With a little bit of work, she would be a loose-leash walker in no time. Her recall is good. She is quiet in her crate–she actually loves her crate because treats have magically appeared there when she’s gone in–and she’s housebroken.
