WOOF! A big hello from our lovely SADIE. She is a 4 year old, 40 lb. black and white rough coat female Border Collie. SADIE came to us a bit shy and quiet, she observed the other 5 Border Collies in in her foster home and worked at fitting in. Within a few days she was running with the other females and chasing the males….much to our amusement! She had found her place! She is a “paws up” girl, looking upon counter tops and other places just out of reach to see what she can reach. She doesn’t jump up on furniture but puts her paws and head into your lap for petting and a cuddle. SADIE is very affectionate and really bonds with her person. She has energy to burn and can be found zooming around the front garden in the morning just happy to be here. SADIE doesn’t play ball….yet but we’ve found that many of our foster dogs have hidden talents that reveal themselves once adopted. SADIE is cat curious but doesn’t chase the resident cat, just looks curiously and follows at a discreet distance. SADIE isn’t a high drive girl, she has the energy of a young border collie but isn’t keen to chase. You can see in her photos that her tail is a bit short….about 2/3 length, not sure why but it doesn’t stop her from wagging it!
SADIE is housebroken, not one accident in her foster home! She is crate trained and sleeps quietly in her crate all night. Our girl isn’t a barker, doesn’t dig or chew inappropriate items. She walks easily on leash and is a good car traveler. What a great girl! Playful and sweet she is missing just one thing! A forever home! She is packed and ready to travel.
Maybe you are the right new home for our SADIE? We are waiting to meet you!
