JILL AVAILABLE

May 24, 2023
JILL (aka: Jilly Bean) We’ve all heard the saying, “you can’t buy happiness but you can adopt it.” Well, if you want to be greeted when you come home by a wet nose & a happy tail, take a look at our foster dog JILL. She’s an adorable black & white (with a touch of tan on her legs) border collie. JILL is a one year old female weighing about 35 lbs & she’s looking for someone to love her (besides her foster Mom, that is). This precious girl is about as sweet as they come. Once you meet her you can’t help falling in love with her.

ADOPTED – MAX

May 20, 2023
Meet MAX, nicknamed “The Boss” by his foster family. MAX is a male black and white rough coat border collie that is approximately 12 weeks of age and 19 lbs. He is a take charge little guy, who is absolutely fearless. When MAX came to his foster family, he immediately exhibited no hesitation whatsoever in meeting and playing with his much larger foster siblings.  MAX is a smart, typical border collie who picks up on things super-fast and seems to have a keen sense for herding. He will require an experienced border collie household that will find him jobs that are both mentally stimulating and physically challenging; for example, herding, canine nose work/scent work, or agility. Mentally and physically challenging activities, along with exercise, will help burn off excess energy and will help Max be the best version of himself.  After training activities and hard play, MAX calms nicely and is a very lovable cuddle bug.

ADOPTED – BANDIT

May 19, 2023
Meet BANDIT, the charming and affectionate 2-year-old Tri Colored Border Collie mix who will steal your heart in no time. With his mostly white and black coat, and some brown on his hind legs, Bandit weighs about 45 pounds and is looking for a loving family that wants a loyal companion. Bandit is a cuddle bug that will happily snuggle with you, hug you, and follow you wherever you go. He is great with other dogs and loves to play. Food and love are his two favorite things, and he is highly motivated by both. He is a very talented shredder so if you are looking at dog toys make sure to buy tough ones and monitor his play; he can find the squeaker in a plush toy in under 5 minutes. When it comes to grooming and handling, Bandit is a dream. He is good about being brushed and groomed and has no issues with being picked up or having his feet and tail touched. He is a gentle boy who just wants to be loved and be part of a family.

OWEN AVAILABLE

May 18, 2023
OWEN, the smallest of the group from day one, has almost caught up to his sister Nora. He weighs in at 13 pounds, but he’s never let his size hold him back. This smallish smooth coat doesn’t let any of the other pups boss him around. OWEN loves people, gets along great with the other puppies and adult dogs, but will need a cat-free environment. He is too interested and overexcited when he sees felines. Arriving to our rescue on March 17th, the St. Paddy’s Day puppies range from 13 to 17 lbs.  With their bat ears, slim bodies, and cat-like feet we believe them to be McNab / border collie mixes. These puppies are coming PARTIALLY SPONSORED. Their adoption fees will be $125 (plus the $75 spay / neuter deposit (that’s a $300 sponsored reduction). The six puppies were split into two foster homes, with Patrick, Quinn, and Kelly in one home while Owen, Nora, and Erin are in another.

KELLY AVAILABLE

May 18, 2023
KELLY, 15 pounds and a smooth coat, is the most reserved of the group.  He is like the middle child, not as intense as his sister Quinn and not as serious as his brother Patrick.  Kelly is very athletic, but will settle in quickly for quiet time and belly rubs when away from his siblings.  Kelly is progressing nicely with crate and sit. KELLY loves people, gets along great with other puppies and adult dogs, but will need a cat-free environment. He is too interested and overexcited when he sees felines. Arriving to our rescue on March 17th, the St. Paddy’s Day puppies range from 13 to 17 lbs.  With their bat ears, slim bodies, and cat-like feet we believe them to be McNab / border collie mixes. PATRICK AVAILABLE

May 18, 2023
PATRICK is a 17 pound smooth coat and is like the older brother of the group. He is their leader. Patrick has been the first to learn new things like crate and sit.  He has not mastered them yet, but he is doing very well.  Patrick was the first to transition over to the big dog room and is learning boundaries from the older pack members. He is being very respectful towards them. PATRICK loves people, gets along great with other puppies and adult dogs, but will need a cat-free environment. He is too interested and overexcited when he sees felines. Arriving to our rescue on March 17th, the St. Paddy’s Day puppies range from 13 to 17 lbs.  With their bat ears, slim bodies, and cat-like feet we believe them to be McNab / border collie mixes. ADOPTED – ERIN

May 18, 2023
ERIN, a classically-marked 14 pound smooth coat, is in between in size, & is most focused on her foster mom. ERIN follows her everywhere & after a long play session seeks cuddle time.  She loves joining the fun with the other puppies; she simply loves her foster mom best.  Erin is serious and very focused in her play.  And like some of her other siblings Erin enjoys tugging with the other pups as well as with her foster mom. ERIN loves people, gets along great with other puppies and adult dogs, but will need a cat-free environment. She is too interested and overexcited when she sees felines. Their adoption fees will be $225 (plus the $75 spay / neuter deposit (that’s a $200 sponsored reduction). The six puppies were split into two foster homes, with Patrick, Quinn, and Kelly in one home while Owen, Nora, and Erin are in another.

NORA AVAILABLE

May 18, 2023
NORA is our blue-eyed, smoot-coated beauty. At 14 pounds, she exudes confidence. This girl is also curious, adventurous, & is as happy to play on her own as she is to be involved in everyone else’s play.  She is always the first one to go on adventures, but when called, she turns on a dime & runs back to her foster mom, well, most of the time. Nora figures out quickly what it takes to get what she wants.  You do something with her & she says “I’ve got it” & tries to do it again to get rewarded.  Her favorite games are tug & tug & tug & then go chase one of her siblings. Even though Nora is adventurous, she is also tuned in to her foster mom. NORA loves people, gets along great with other puppies and adult dogs, but will need a cat-free environment. She is too interested and overexcited when she sees felines.   Arriving to our rescue on March 17th, the St. Paddy’s Day puppies range from 13 to 17 lbs.  With their bat ears, slim bodies, and cat-like feet we believe them to be McNab / border collie mixes. ADOPTED – QUINN

May 18, 2023
QUINN has that WOW look. Her one blue eye, one blue / brown eye, shiny smooth coat, and athletic build get the WOW reaction every time. QUINN is a solid 15 pound, athletic young lady. Bouncy, Bouncy, Bouncy, Fun, Fun, Fun. Maybe we should have named her Tigger. This happy little girl is an object in motion that stays in motion until nap time or bed time. Quinn loves to leap, climb, and explore. When she sits, her little tail and butt are going a mile a minute. QUINN loves people, gets along great with other puppies and adult dogs, but will need a cat-free environment. She is too interested and overexcited when she sees felines. Arriving to our rescue on March 17th, the St. Paddy’s Day puppies range from 13 to 17 lbs.  With their bat ears, slim bodies, and cat-like feet we believe them to be McNab / border collie mixes. ADOPTED – CONNOR

March 19, 2023
If you’re looking for a dog that is not only a sweet cuddlebug, but also lovable in every way & very, very friendly with adults & children, then take a look at our handsome boy, CONNOR. He weighs in at a lean 45 lbs. and is very healthy at his current weight. He has a medium length rough coat with classic black & white color & a bit of tan around his soulful eyes. CONNOR is approximately 1-2 yrs. old but he is still very much a puppy. He may be full-sized, but he’s a happy-go-lucky, silly goofball!  Of course, as with any rambunctious youngster, good, consistent training will help him to become the best boy he can be.

ADOPTED – MAVRIK

February 27, 2023
MAVRIK is a handsome , approximately 11 month old 42 pound, black and white smooth coat border collie mix. He is likely mixed with black lab. He has big brown eyes, soft ears and a tail that wags endlessly.. He is a a very smart, happy, loving pup looking for his forever home. He loves everybody!!! He loves walks, playing with his toys and did I say treats? He is very food and praise motivated. “Good boy” and a chest scratch are a close second to a little treat. He is a puppy, behaves likes a puppy, eager to please, but still wants to jump and play, you know, those normal puppy things. He is a quick learner. Knows “sit”, “shake” or “paws” most of the time. Loves walks!! Is easily distracted by all the sites, ie dogs, people. He wants to say "hello" to everyone. Seems more interested in the person than the dog. He knows a firm “sit”, means I am supposed to hang out by foster mom and just wag my tail until the distraction (ie person, dog) passes. MAVRIK loves walks. He is not bothered by cars or trucks. He wants to say "hello" to everyone!! MAVRIK would likely do equally as well as an only dog or to be part of a pair of dogs.. or more
