ADOPTED – SMOKY

December 22, 2021
ADOPTED - Meet SMOKY, a 1 year-old border collie mix of about 70 lbs, ready to start the new year in his new home.  Smoky is a strong, athletic, & agile boy, who would love to have an exercise buddy to go on adventures with, to run & play with, & then to hang out afterwards.  He is still very much a puppy despite his size.  The good news is that Smoky is a fast learner, & he loves treats & toys, so training with him is going to be fun & rewarding.  He adapts to routines very quickly.  He learned “sit” in a matter of minutes!  Smoky is acclimated to a crate, sleeping in his crate at night, but with the door open.  He is good about going potty outside (90% of the time & with a good routine).  His leash manners are coming along; he pulls a little in general & he still pulls a lot when he sees a squirrel or a small dog.

ADOPTED – MAMA Mercy

December 13, 2021
ADOPTED - MAMA MERCY is a small (around 32#), young (about 18 months) former mama dog of seven darling puppies.  The pups are heading off to their forever homes, & it's time for MERCY to find her family.  A border collie mix with a docked tail & a smooth, easy-care coat, MERCY is a sweet, impish girl, who loves nothing more than to be with her people. She snuggles up to, follows around, & looks adoringly at her people, sometimes twirling in the air with joy.  Even though she is good with other dogs & with cats, she clearly prefers people.  She is nicely social with people she has just met.  And in all things, she is gentle.

ADOPTED – PASH

December 10, 2021
ADOPTED – Small but mighty, PASH & LIKER are very much alike.  Their foster mom calls them “The Twins.”  Not only do they look alike, but they have very similar personalities; fun-loving, silly, social, & confident.  There isn’t anything these two don’t like to try. “The Twins” love the agility play tunnel. Both of them really live running through and rolling it and will pretty much try anything. Mama Mercy’s pups were born around 10/1/21, & they are excited about finding their forever homes.  Mama weighs about 36 pounds.  We don’t know who the dad or dads are, so we are offering an educated guess on the pups’ adult sizes.  Mama Mercy (Last Photo) will be available for Adoption after her spay. We are not taking applications for her at this time.

ADOPTED – HELPER

December 9, 2021
ADOPTED - HELPER is a very interactive pup. He loves being with me and exploring things I'm trying to work on, and is the big boy of the group at 11 pounds. His siblings can lay on him, pull his tail, bite his ears and tease him and he is ok with everything and enjoys the attention. Although he interacts great with all the other dogs (adults included) his choice would to be with me. HELPER is very food-motivated, which will be great for training.  His favorite activities are to run & play & chew toys (or anything else left where he can get it).

ADOPTED – DEAR

December 9, 2021
ADOPTED - DEAR is a sweet girlie.  Like her siblings, she likes to tug & to play with balls & stuffed toys (stuffing removed), but she is also a contented puppy. When you talk to her she will wave at you with her right front leg. DEAR’s favorite thing is to give you lots of sweet smelling puppy kisses with no bites. Chew toys are becoming very much popular with her!!!

ADOPTED – JOSIE

December 3, 2021
ADOPTED - JOSIE is an energetic 8-year-old girl of about 40#.  Everyone who meets her loves her.  She is friendly and social with everyone she meets, and has gotten along just fine with the dogs in her foster home; we can't say how she is with cats.  She loves to play and romp, but she settles nicely, happy to curl up in her bed with a bone or chewy toy.  She is not over-the-top like some border collies and has an off-switch.  JOSIE is very treat-motivated and loves toys, so they can both be used to motivate her in training.

ADOPTED – KESTREL

December 3, 2021
ADOPTED - Kestrel is a gorgeous young girl on the inside as well as the outside; we estimate her age to be about 1-to-2-years-old.  She is social with people and other dogs, happy to greet everyone she meets.  She loves toys--tugs, balls, chew toys, etc., and she especially loves to play with toys with her person.  So, toys will be great motivators for her in training.  She likes treats, too, but she likes yummy and somewhat higher end treats, and then you'll have her full attention--string cheese, small chewy treats, liver treats, etc.; no biscuit-style treats or Charlie Bear treats for this princess.  She responds very well to the treats she likes, so again, yummy treats will be good motivators for training.  At about 45#, Kestrel is very athletic, agile, and energetic, and loves nothing more than doing things with her person.  So, she will probably thrive in a home where she gets to learn fun things like dogs sports: agility, flyball, nosework, etc.  Leash walks are probably not going to be enough for this girlie.  She will do best in a home where she gets to spend a lot of time with her person.

Mama Mercy’s Puppies

November 28, 2021
Mama Mercy’s 7 pups are a few days past 8-weeks-old (born around 10/1/21), & they are excited about finding their forever homes.  Their average weight is 7 pounds, so we predict that they will be medium-sized dogs as adults.  Mama weighs about 36 pounds.  We don’t know who the dad or dads are, so we are offering an educated guess on the pups’ adult sizes.  Mama Mercy (Photo 5) will be available for Adoption after her spay. We are not taking applications for her at this time.
