ADOPTED – MILLIE

MILLIE is a roughly 30lb, two year old ball of joy! She is speckled red and white with a curly tail and one eye that makes her even more special. All MILLIE wants in life is to be near her person. She thinks she’s a lap dog and enjoys climbing up onto the couch quite literally one paw at a time. When she can’t be in your lap or on the couch, she settles nicely for the floor. MILLIE does tend to jump on people out of excitement, but is responding well to “no.”

ADOPTED – Will

Meet WILL - a one to two-year-old old 40-pound Border Collie-blend with a soft medium tri-color coat and beautiful markings including white socks and eyebrow highlights. As a young dog, this boy loves to cuddle, be petted, play and run, and is very sociable. WILL is curious, alert and smart; he does not show typical herding behaviors and is kind to everyone he meets. WILL likes to be out in the yard experiencing the day, but really prefers to be with his people, most comfortably nestled in a dog bed at your feet. He easily settles down for naps, and sleeps the entire night through in his crate.

ADOPTED – HAP

Meet HAP! A sweet, cuddly, sassy 3-month-old puppy, HAP is 16 pounds with a classic black and white marked coat, medium, stand-up ears and a halo of a shawl! HAP is a beautiful puppy and will be one handsome boy! He is highly socialized and loves being with his humans, receiving hugs and kisses, cuddling and receiving belly rubs, and settling in at your feet for a nap. HAP demands time and attention by his humans, and will thrive with training and activities such as agility, fly ball, nose work, etc.

ADOPTED – LOGAN

ADOPTED – LOGAN is a black and white rough coat Border Collie weighing 42 pounds and standing about 24 inches at the shoulder.  He is believed to be over one year old.  Logan is well-balanced with brown inquisitive and curious eyes.  He has a true black and white coat. Logan is very curious.  He loves to explore the yard on his own, however mostly stays within eyesight to his humans when outside.  Logan is bouncy and has a playful attitude.

ADOPTED – CASSIE

Now that Mama CASSIE’s babies are off to their forever home, it’s her turn to shine!  Miss CASSIE is an approximately 11-month-old, 40# rough coat border collie with a docked tail.  She is a perfect size and she is beautiful!  Her soulful eyes have so much to say as she looks to you for guidance and encouragement.  

ADOPTED – CONNOR

If you’re looking for a dog that is not only a sweet cuddlebug, but also lovable in every way & very, very friendly with adults & children, then take a look at our handsome boy, CONNOR. He weighs in at a lean 45 lbs. and is very healthy at his current weight. He has a medium length rough coat with classic black & white color & a bit of tan around his soulful eyes. CONNOR is approximately 1-2 yrs. old but he is still very much a puppy. He may be full-sized, but he’s a happy-go-lucky, silly goofball!  Of course, as with any rambunctious youngster, good, consistent training will help him to become the best boy he can be.

ADOPTED – RANGER

RANGER is a 40lb, smooth coat, brindle (almost a blue quality) and white border collie. He is estimated to be one year old and catches your eye with his unique color, split face, and upright ears. RANGER is a shy guy at first, but truly loves people and coaxes attention once he settles in. He frequently walks up out of the blue, puts his face on your lap and looks at you with brown eyes you can’t resist. He is loyal to his people and will follow them anywhere.

ADOPTED – ODIE

ODIE is a tender-hearted, mild-mannered boy. Very sweet and affectionate, approximately 4-year-old, 40 pound Odie wants to be with his people. He takes a few minutes to warm up to people he doesn’t know, but he does warm up.  He loves to go on hikes along hills and adventures to the lake with the dog pals he’s made in his foster home. He prefers an open, peaceful setting, one where he can walk and explore, take quiet nature hikes, and sniff all the wonderful smells along his path without the disruptions of lots of cars, unfamiliar people, dogs he doesn’t know, and loud city noises.  ODIE would prefer a quiet rural setting to a busy, noisy urban / suburban setting. 

ADOPTED – LUNA

LUNA ADOPTION PENDING Meet lovely LUNA! LUNA is a medium coat red and white Border collie about 18 months old. Luna has medium to low drive but her BC genes might become more pronounced with time as she’s had some adjusting to do. She is cautious around new people, especially men, but warms up quickly and becomes a love bug begging for pets and attention.

ADOPTED – TROOPER

TROOPER is a rough-coated border collie / Australian shepherd cross, weighing in at 55 pounds and standing about 26 inches at the shoulder.  He is about a year old. Trooper is a well-balanced boy with brown inquisitive and curious eyes.  He has a true black and white coat and freckles on his nose. TROOPER is very energetic and curious.  He loves to explore the yard on his own, and mostly stays within eyesight to his humans when outside. Trooper checks in with you about every two minutes.  Trooper is playful, bouncy, and has a puppy attitude.  He will run and play, then stop and look at you.  If he hears no command, Trooper will continue to run and play on his own.  In his foster home, he is never idle.  Rather, he is always active and investigating his surroundings.  His only down time is when he is relaxing in his extra-large crate.

ADOPTED – MAVRIK

MAVRIK is a handsome , approximately 11 month old 42 pound, black and white smooth coat border collie mix. He is likely mixed with black lab. He has big brown eyes, soft ears and a tail that wags endlessly.. He is a a very smart, happy, loving pup looking for his forever home. He loves everybody!!! He loves walks, playing with his toys and did I say treats? He is very food and praise motivated. “Good boy” and a chest scratch are a close second to a little treat. He is a puppy, behaves likes a puppy, eager to please, but still wants to jump and play, you know, those normal puppy things. He is a quick learner. Knows “sit”, “shake” or “paws” most of the time. Loves walks!! Is easily distracted by all the sites, ie dogs, people. He wants to say "hello" to everyone. Seems more interested in the person than the dog. He knows a firm “sit”, means I am supposed to hang out by foster mom and just wag my tail until the distraction (ie person, dog) passes. MAVRIK loves walks. He is not bothered by cars or trucks. He wants to say "hello" to everyone!! MAVRIK would likely do equally as well as an only dog or to be part of a pair of dogs.. or more

ADOPTED – CALVIN now TUX

ADOPTION PENDING - CALVIN is an adorable black and white rough coat male approximately 4 – 5 months of age and 28 pounds. Calvin loves people and is what we call a wiggle butt. Approach him and his whole body gyrates in uncontrolled glee. He loves it when he gets lots of attention and pets. He loves to be invited up on the couch for snuggles. He seemed to quite enjoy watching football with his foster dad.

ADOPTED – DALTON

Meet our sweet young boy Dalton. He is an 11m old BC/Lab mix. He has a smooth coat and weighs 38lbs. Dalton's favorite thing is the ball or just about any toy. He loves to play! He will chase the ball and even bring it back. He gets along great with other dogs and likes to wrestle and play the chase game. He would do well with another dog with a similar activity level. Dalton also likes to play with the cats in his foster home. He does not try to hurt them, but he will chase them so any home with cats would have to be dog savvy cats who don't mind a little fun. 

ADOPTED – KUMA

MAMA CASSIE’S (AKA CASSIOPEIA) Stars & Planets pups were born on 12/02/22, & at 9-weeks-old they are ready, ready, ready to find their forever homes.  Mama Cassie is a 32#, black & white, rough-coated girl with a bobbed tail.  She loves people, & her puppies have inherited her friendliness. KUMA is a crack-up, full of puppy antics.  She loves toys, especially tug toys, & she’s a good tugger.  When she has a toy on her own, she finds a lair-like spot to hide her toy.  When she goes back to get it, she likes to play keep-away with her littermates.  But she’s happy to bring her toy to her person so they can play together.  She is treat-motivated & she has very nice focus.  She virtually posed for the camera, as if she knew her photo was being taken.  She knows how to work a room.  She isn’t afraid to explore, but she’s good about checking in, if you catch her attention.

VENUS is the smallest of the group, but not by much.  And don’t tell her she’s little!  She is not afraid to go exploring & adventuring in the big yard on her own or with her littermates.  Venus also likes to play with toys: soft toys, boxes, puppy tunnels; she’s ready to play.  She also will sometimes hang out on the sidelines & watch before leaping into action & following along in the play.

ADOPTED – STARBRIGHT

MAMA CASSIE’S (AKA CASSIOPEIA) Stars & Planets pups were born on 12/02/22, & at 9-weeks-old they are ready, ready, ready to find their forever homes.  Mama Cassie is a 32#, black & white, rough-coated girl with a bobbed tail.  She loves people, & her puppies have inherited her friendliness. STARBRIGHT has the most gorgeous & unusual tri-colored markings.  She has confidence in spades, & she’s a bit more independent that some of her littermates.  She loved the photographer who visited her foster home to take photos; STARBRIGHT was crawling all over her so much that it was hard to get her photos.  When there is a puppy play pile, she is often the puppy on top.  Like Loki, she keenly follows people.  She loves toys like tug toys & tunnels, & (see the photo) racing the tortoise across the yard. 

ADOPTED – LOKI

MAMA CASSIE’S (AKA CASSIOPEIA) Stars & Planets pups were born on 12/02/22, & at 9-weeks-old they are ready, ready, ready to find their forever homes.  Mama Cassie is a 32#, black & white, rough-coated girl with a bobbed tail.  She loves people, & her puppies have inherited her friendliness. LOKI likes people. He follows people around like a little shadow. Herding dog? You bet. While Loki is a very active puppy, he also has a calm side, & can switch between the two energy levels easily. Loki has beautiful, soft green eyes. Like his littermates, he loves treats, & he is learning to pay attention for which behaviors he can offer that will get him a reward. He, too, likes toys.

ADOPTED – SIRIUS

MAMA CASSIE’S (AKA CASSIOPEIA) Stars & Planets pups were born on 12/02/22, & at 9-weeks-old they are ready, ready, ready to find their forever homes.  Mama Cassie is a 32#, black & white, rough-coated girl with a bobbed tail.  She loves people, & her puppies have inherited her friendliness. SIRIUS is aptly named.  He is a typical playful pup, but he also has a focused, serious side.  He will sit for a cookie & hold that sit to wait for the next one.  He is gentle, but not timid.  He likes everyone he meets, but he loves his one special person; he’s like a little shadow.  Like his littermates, he likes most toys; well, to tell the truth, he pretty much likes anything that he gets to do with his person. 

ADOPTED – MILO

Let's say hello to MILO. Milo is a 12-to-18-month old black and white rough- coated border collie. Milo is ready for to find his forever home, one he can call his own. MILO knows his name. Like many young border collies, he likes to relax with his foster family after getting a moderate-to-significant amount of exercise. A brisk walk, a long hike, time chasing a ball, maybe a short jog, etc. all make Milo happy. Milo LOVES chewing and chomping on appropriate chew toys.  Milo is kind-natured and receptive to people and other dogs. When he first came into rescue Milo was shy when he first met new people, promptly rolling over on his back for belly rubs.  (He can never get enough belly rubs!!)  However, over the time he’s been in his foster home, he has learned to relax and to seek attention from people, often putting his face in someone’s hand very sweetly.

ADOPTED – SASSY

Sassy was always the last out of the kennel. She was slow like molasses. We started calling her Sweet Sassy Molassy. But once she came out of her shell and shrugged off her Initial shyness, she became SASSY!
