Meet FLYNN, a sweet 1 ½ year old boy of 55 pounds with a smooth beautifully marked black and white coat, one blue eye and one brown eye. His long legs, tall ears, and slim build may give a hint of a McNabb characteristic. FLYNN is highly socialized and loves being with his humans, receiving hugs and cuddling. FLYNN has a happy and confident personality, loves to run, play with toys, and socialize with dog friends. He will need a household that provides suitable room to run and exercise, and activities to keep his mind busy. He is constantly trying to engage in play with his foster packmates, but will play with toys on his own as well. FLYNN knows basic commands and will be easy to train as he is food motivated and wants to please you. He is crated trained and sleeps quietly all night. ZUMA is BC mix with lovely soft ears and a smooth coat that is a dream to touch. And he loves everyone he meets!  His lovely white nose makes look a bit like a clown, but that is just him fooling you; he is very smart.  He has grown into a lovey pup that is learning basic commands like sit and stay. He is crate-trained, and when it’s meal time, he will run into his crate and sit, waiting nicely for his food, Best of all: he is making good progress learning to potty outside.  He loves to learn, and is treat and toy motivated, so he will be a joy to train. His favorite toys are soft squeaky toys.

Meet our sweet little COCO! She is a 32lb, 1yr old BC mix. She has an easy care smooth coat and darling little spots on her nose and feet. She is such a great size. She may put on a few pounds and fill out some, but she will always be on the smaller side.  COCO loves other dogs! She just wants to play, play, play. She would do well with another young dog who also likes to wrestle and chase. Older dogs may be annoyed by her exuberance and desire to play. She will chase the cats in her foster home, so she needs a cat free environment. She is very food and praise motivated and is a fast learner. She is going to be a joy to train. She is very athletic, loves the water and would do well in any kind of dog sport. She would make a great hiking/running/adventure partner as well. 

MAISEY is a darling 9-month-old, 40lb (and gaining) Border collie mix. She is sure to catch your eye with her tri-colors and her spotted nose! She has a low-maintenance smooth coat and the best floppy ears. MAISEY is a shy but friendly girl. She very happily greets anybody that walks in the door. MAISEY adores her foster siblings and would do best in a home with other dogs to help her continue to learn how to be a dog. She tries and wants to play, but just has not quite figured out what she is supposed to do.

THE BOYS OF SUMMER litter is another NCBCRA sweet group of puppies that are sure to steal your heart. Born in June 2023, the pups are 9 weeks old & are ready to go to their forever homes. All of the puppies are “border collie” energetic & smart, so be prepared with games, training opportunities, or dog sports for these dearies; a few really like to play in water and all love toys. If you give them what they need to work their little brains & bodies, they all have an “off switch” & will be happy snuggling, or hanging out with you—some more than others, so ask lots of questions about the puppy you want to bring home. The puppies live with other dogs in their foster home, so they are well-socialized to dogs. They have had lots of visitors in their foster home, & they have been charming to one & all. They don’t yet have a firm grasp of housebreaking, as they’re all still together, providing each other with plenty of distractions. As smart as they are, that should come together once they have one-on-one, consistent direction from you. They eat their meals in their crates & have ridden in a large crate together for the ride to their foster home & to the vet without getting carsick.
