ADOPTED – Will
Meet WILL – a one to two-year-old old 40-pound Border Collie-blend with a soft medium tri-color coat and beautiful markings including white socks and eyebrow highlights. As a young dog, this boy loves to cuddle, be petted, play and run, and is very sociable. WILL is curious, alert and smart; he does not show typical herding behaviors and is kind to everyone he meets. WILL likes to be out in the yard experiencing the day, but really prefers to be with his people, most comfortably nestled in a dog bed at your feet. He easily settles down for naps, and sleeps the entire night through in his crate.
ADOPTED – HAP
Meet HAP! A sweet, cuddly, sassy 3-month-old puppy, HAP is 16 pounds with a classic black and white marked coat, medium, stand-up ears and a halo of a shawl! HAP is a beautiful puppy and will be one handsome boy! He is highly socialized and loves being with his humans, receiving hugs and kisses, cuddling and receiving belly rubs, and settling in at your feet for a nap. HAP demands time and attention by his humans, and will thrive with training and activities such as agility, fly ball, nose work, etc.
ADOPTED – MAVRIK
MAVRIK is a handsome , approximately 11 month old 42 pound, black and white smooth coat border collie mix. He is likely mixed with black lab. He has big brown eyes, soft ears and a tail that wags endlessly.. He is a a very smart, happy, loving pup looking for his forever home. He loves everybody!!! He loves walks, playing with his toys and did I say treats? He is very food and praise motivated. “Good boy” and a chest scratch are a close second to a little treat. He is a puppy, behaves likes a puppy, eager to please, but still wants to jump and play, you know, those normal puppy things. He is a quick learner. Knows “sit”, “shake” or “paws” most of the time. Loves walks!! Is easily distracted by all the sites, ie dogs, people. He wants to say “hello” to everyone. Seems more interested in the person than the dog. He knows a firm “sit”, means I am supposed to hang out by foster mom and just wag my tail until the distraction (ie person, dog) passes.
MAVRIK loves walks. He is not bothered by cars or trucks. He wants to say “hello” to everyone!! MAVRIK would likely do equally as well as an only dog or to be part of a pair of dogs.. or more
ADOPTED – CALVIN now TUX
ADOPTION PENDING – CALVIN is an adorable black and white rough coat male approximately 4 – 5 months of age and 28 pounds. Calvin loves people and is what we call a wiggle butt. Approach him and his whole body gyrates in uncontrolled glee. He loves it when he gets lots of attention and pets. He loves to be invited up on the couch for snuggles. He seemed to quite enjoy watching football with his foster dad.
ADOPTED – SASSY
Sassy was always the last out of the kennel. She was slow like molasses. We started calling her Sweet Sassy Molassy. But once she came out of her shell and shrugged off her Initial shyness, she became SASSY!
ADOPTED – TIPPER
Tipper is a very energetic and friendly pup. Only the very tip of her tale is white so we started calling her Tip and that turned into Tipper. She is Border Collie level curious with the energy and focus to back it up.
ADOPTED – PEPPER
Pepper was named for her high energy (lots of pep!) and her spicy personality! She is very friendly, likes to play with balls or any toy she can get her teeth on and is a very curious pup. She is very good at fetching a tennis ball, but is still working on giving it back!

DOMINO is a one-year-old 54-pound Border Collie-blend with long legs, a soft medium coat, and beautiful markings. As a young dog, this boy loves to play and run. He is a PUPPY at heart, loves toys and enjoys pets and cuddles. DOMINO is curious and alert, does not show typical herding behaviors, and can be mischievous! He needs to be kept active, busy, and engaged with his family. DOMINO likes to be out in the yard experiencing the day with other dogs and his people. He easily settles down for naps in his crate, and sleeps the entire night through.

ACE is a one-year-old old 50-pound Border Collie-blend with long legs, a soft medium coat, and beautiful markings including a dot on top of his head! As a young dog, this boy loves to play and run. He is a little shy but loves pets and cuddles. ACE is curious and alert, does not show typical herding behaviors, and is smart. ACE likes to be out in the yard experiencing the day, but really prefers to be with other dogs and his people. He easily settles down for naps in his crate, and sleeps the entire night through.

Meet HENRI! Henri is a handsome 36 lbs., two year old, black and white smooth coat border collie (possibly McNabb mix) with big brown eyes and soft ears looking for his forever home. He loves belly rubs, ear rubs and long walks. He is great on a leash, travels well in his crate in the car and takes his treats gently. Henri knows basic skills, such as “sit”, and is learning to “shake”. He is a quick learner.

ADOPTED – Meet BUDDY a sweet 2-year-old beautifully marked boy looking for a loving home. BUDDY weighs 52 pounds and has a red/brown and white medium coat and a beautiful full tail. BUDDY is a shy dog when first meeting people and may vocalize out of fear (but shows no aggression). He does well with a proper introduction. His foster family is helping him learn/build good relationships by giving him positive experiences with strangers. BUDDY does great with routine and predictability.

Meet RYDER! A sweet and cuddly 4-month-old puppy, RYDER is 21 pounds with a smooth beautifully marked tri-coat and expressive dark eyes. His long legs and slim build may give a hint of a McNabb characteristic. RYDER is highly socialized and loves being with his humans, receiving hugs and kisses, cuddling and receiving belly rubs.

ADOPTED – Meet FLYNN! A sweet and cuddly 4-month-old puppy, FLYNN is 22 pounds with a smooth beautifully marked black and white coat, one blue eye and one brown eye. His long legs and slim build may give a hint of a McNabb characteristic. FLYNN is highly socialized and loves being with his humans, receiving hugs and kisses, cuddling and receiving belly rubs.
ADOPTED – CEMI (See’Me)
ADOPTED – Meet CEMI (See’ Me), a 50-pound 4-year-old rough coat boy with classic black and white markings. CEMI is kind, happy and smart, a ‘velcro’ dog who wants to be with his owner all the time. He may do very well as an only dog. CEMI has classic BC personality traits such as reacting to crazy energy (in his foster dog pack) and watching for squirrels. It is said that he reacts to livestock, so a home without horses or cattle, may be in order. CEMI has not been tested with cats.

JOLENE (JO)
Meet JO, a 34-pound 1 ½ -year-old smooth coat girl with classic black and white markings. JO has beautiful standup ears in her foster family’s eyes and looks like a McNabb.

COCO came to us a stray. The streets were not kind to COCO, she was sick, thin, and badly in need of dental care. But with Coco’s strong determination to survive and a deep need to belong to someone, mixed with some excellent dentistry a bath, a persistent foster Mom and 4 pack mates, and the opportunity to slowly recover in an environment where she felt safe, secure, wanted, and lavished with lots of affection and kisses – COCO has blossomed into a beautiful bold happy little girl, running, and talking, playing and napping, chasing squirrels, watching the birds on the fence line, taking rides to and from, driving up and down the American River Parkway.

ADOPTED – Meet NICK! A sweet and cuddly 3-4 month-old puppy, NICK is about 11 pounds with a smooth beautifully marked black, white and a hint of copper coat and expressive dark eyes. His spotted shawl and sometimes stand-up ears are darling, and he will be the first to let you know when he wants something (he is vocal!). NICK is highly socialized and loves being with his humans, receiving hugs and kisses, cuddling and receiving belly rubs.

ADOPTED – Meet JESS! A sweet and cuddly 3-4 month-old puppy, JESS is about 13 pounds with a smooth beautifully marked black, white and a hint of copper coat and expressive dark eyes. Her sometimes stand-up ears are darling. JESS is highly socialized and loves being with her humans, receiving hugs and kisses, cuddling and receiving belly rubs.
ADOPTED – Gordy
ADOPTED – Meet GORDY! This sweet 6 ½ year old boy loves affection and welcomes kind words and cuddles. Weighing in at about 60 pounds, GORDY has a classic easy care black and white coat, a black round accent around his right eye, and a slight overbite, showing an adorable bit of pink tongue. Once he knows that you are friendly, he comes right up for pets and cuddles.
GORDY does well on the leash and loads up into car and travels great. He shown that he knows basic commands. He just wants to please you.
GORDY likes to know that he is in a safe environment and will do best in a quiet household without young children which he will run and hide from. Owners should understand gentle, positive behavior reinforcement and offer dedicated household areas (like a crate) where GORDY can relax. GORDY has demonstrated herding behavior and cats are definitely not on his friend list. However, GORDY gets along with his foster BCs just fine, and is quite kind to our young foster puppy, who routinely gives him kisses.
