She is a delightful, enthusiastic, social girl. Amy thinks it's all fun & would like someone to share fun with her. She loves tug toys, chew toys, & balls, & she loves any & all treats. ADOPTED – LEMON
ADOPTED - LEMON is a darling 6-7 month old Border Collie mix weighing in at roughly 40lbs and gaining! She has a long-haired, rough gold coat with minimal white and perfect collie ears. LEMON knows her name and has a decent recall, especially when a treat follows. She is very food-motivated and also responds well to “no.” She is a bit of a chewer, so must be watched closely or crated while alone. LEMON does not prefer, nor particularly enjoy her crate, but goes into her crate well with a small nudge and subsequently sleeps without complaints. She is potty trained, but she does not signal when she needs to go out, so needs frequent offerings.

ADOPTED – MARLIN
ADOPTED - MARLIN is 66 pounds of love bug. It’s pretty awesome when you get a dog big enough that you don’t have to bend over to pet him. He loves that he can be petted while walking alongside his person. MARLIN loves to run, play, walk, chase, be chased…any activity is a good activity when there is a person or another dog (dogs) around. The more the merrier, but humans are his favorite. The shelter put him at about 2 years, but he could be younger. His teeth are bright, bright, white, and his personality is much like a puppy. You will get a loving, gentle teddy bear of a boy if you take Marlin home with you. Not even the cats seem worried about him. He looks, he sniffs, but does not bother them.

ADOPTED – PENELOPE
ADOPTED - PENELOPE is a border collie cross weighing in at 30 pounds. She is under one-year-old and has been spayed. Penelope is a beautiful, well-balanced little girl with deep brown inquisitive eyes. Although she appears black and white in pictures, Penelope’s true color is dark chocolate brown with white accents and mahogany brown freckles on her nose. PENELOPE is fun, energetic, and very curious. She loves to explore the yard on her own, and mostly stays close by her humans when outside. Penelope is both agile and athletic. She will run and turn on a dime, then stop and look at you. If she hears no command, Penelope will continue to run and play on her own. On hot days, you will find Penelope lounging in the kiddy pool.

ADOPTED – WILLOW
ADOPTED – WILLOW is a beautiful white & black girl, with a soft coat--perfect for petting. And Willow loves to be petted! Willow loves to follow her foster parents as they work around their property; she is never far away. She is friendly & affectionate, nuzzling her foster mom & dad's hands, wrapping around them, & even sometimes jumping up simply to be closer. She wiggles with joy when she sees her foster parents, & sometimes gives little kisses on their fingers. This girlie is such a sweetheart! She is even good with people she first meets. And she is good at the groomer's shop & veterinarian's office.

ADOPTED – Gordy
ADOPTED – Meet GORDY! This sweet 6 ½ year old boy loves affection and welcomes kind words and cuddles. Weighing in at about 60 pounds, GORDY has a classic easy care black and white coat, a black round accent around his right eye, and a slight overbite, showing an adorable bit of pink tongue. Once he knows that you are friendly, he comes right up for pets and cuddles.
GORDY does well on the leash and loads up into car and travels great. He shown that he knows basic commands. He just wants to please you.
GORDY likes to know that he is in a safe environment and will do best in a quiet household without young children which he will run and hide from. Owners should understand gentle, positive behavior reinforcement and offer dedicated household areas (like a crate) where GORDY can relax. GORDY has demonstrated herding behavior and cats are definitely not on his friend list. However, GORDY gets along with his foster BCs just fine, and is quite kind to our young foster puppy, who routinely gives him kisses.

ADOPTED – TY
ADOPTED - Hi. My name is Ty. I am about 6-years-old, and I am a Border collie mix, weighing about 50 pounds. My coat is gorgeous, shiny, and medium-length. The first thing I hear people say when they meet is “What a lovely dog!” And they are right. Not only am I gorgeous, but very well- mannered and loving. I am a BUDDY dog, just bursting with cuteness, personality, and devotion. I go everywhere, and wherever I go, I am very well-behaved. No jumping, or barking, no yapping at dogs across the street, or lunging at the end of the leash, and no barking at the mailman or garbage people. I am well-balanced, calm, and centered, especially for a herding dog. I even behave well at the coffeehouse or tea shop.

ADOPTED – Little Jo
ADOPTED - LITTLE JO! A sweet and cuddly 10-12-week-old puppy

ADOPTED – MEG
ADOPTED – MEG is a darling 11 pound, 10-week-old Border collie/McNab mix girlie, with the slick, easy-care McNab coat, & the smarts & keen attention common to both breeds. She is a confident, enthusiastic, social girl. She has a "bring it on" attitude & wants to do everything, sometimes all at once, which makes for some hilarious moments. She wants to make sure that she doesn't miss a thing. Meg is rocket fast & already very agile for a pup; she is a capable climber & jumper. Meg seems to want to have some kind of job. Sometimes she chooses to chase, crawl on, and steal toys from the older dogs in her foster home. They are mostly tolerant of her antics, & eventually she will leave them alone, finding a great time doing something else. Meg thinks it's all fun & can't understand why everyone else isn't joining in. She loves tug toys, chew toys, sticks (although we discourage that for her safety), & she loves any & all treats. So, she will work & learn for toys & treats.

ADOPTED – SARGENT
ADOPTED - SARGENT (AKA Sarge) is a 36+ pound, 6-month-old neutered border collie mix, who is as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside. Like his sister Tootsie, he is active & playful, yet is surprisingly easy-going for an adolescent pup. He is endearingly clumsy & goofy sometimes, but don't let this fool you! Sarge is smart as a whip & learns whatever is asked of him quickly. For example, he learned to use the doggy door in his foster home in a fingersnap!

ADOPTED – TOOTSIE
ADOPTED - TOOTSIE is a 25#, 6-month-old spayed border collie mix, who has a lovely, gentle temperament. She has a beautiful sleek coat. Like her brother Sarge, she is active & playful. She particularly likes to play with her brother. She might like a home with another playful dog. She is friendly & social with people, but will offer an alert bark when someone she doesn't know comes to call. She is easy-going, & is a little bit on the soft side. Tootsie likes to please & doesn't like to think she's made her human unhappy.

ADOPTED – Hercules (Adopted) & Xena (Adopted)
ADOPTED - HERCULES (ADOPTED) Meet HERCULES! A sweet and cuddly 10-12-week-old puppy, HERCULES is 15 pounds with a brown/red beautifully marked medium coat and striking clear blue eyes. His face markings are distinctive – he is one handsome boy! HERCULES is highly socialized and loves being with his humans, receiving hugs and kisses, cuddling and receiving belly rubs. HERCULES is curious, playful, inquisitive and happy. He is the more adventuresome puppy in comparison to his sister Xena, seeking to play with other dogs, but knows when to take cover when his BC adult packmates become too rambunctious. HERCULES is not yet potty-trained but does sleep through the night in his crate. He travels well in the car and loves to see the world go by!

ADOPTED – Freddy
ADOPTED – FREDDY is classically marked smooth coat black and white Border collie. He is 5 months of age, 28 lbs and full of spunk. FREDDY is a very active Border collie mouthy youngster who is still learning. And learn he will. He is very smart, knows sit, is doing ok with “crate’ (but he’d much rather be out and about), and has learned to be quiet and still before being fed. In fact that is about the only time he’s still. He does bark some, but mostly when egged on by the other dogs. He is very treat and praise motivated so training should be a blast. An adopter experienced with the personalities of Border collies / herding dogs would be a huge benefit.

ADOPTED – SIAN (pronounced Shawn)
ADOPTED - Sian (pronounced Shawn) is a lovely, 45 pound, one-year-old girl who is looking for her forever home.
She has fit it so easily to her foster care home and is eager to please She prefers to be by her human’s side and will nap quietly while you are working or busy with tasks that do not involve her. If necessary, however, she is also comfortable by herself outside or resting alone in her crate.

ADOPTED – DOVE
ADOPTED - DOVE saw to it that all four of her Bird Pups found great homes, and now it’s her turn. DOVE sports a short white coat with red ticking behind her ears and an ever so subtle red strip along the middle of her back. She is slight of build. At 45 lbs. she looks like she should put on a few pounds, but even three squares a day has not resulted in added weight. We don’t know what her DNA says, but we know she has a border collie heart and mindset. She is very active, loves to run and play with her buddy Perkins and whatever puppy we have added to the mix. She loves to pick up random sticks, branches or tennis balls and let them try to catch her to take it away. They don’t succeed but they have fun trying.

ADOPTED – LAYLA
LAYLA
Meet LAYLA! A sweet and cuddly 5-month-old puppy, LAYLA is 25 pounds with a semi-smooth beautifully marked coat. She is highly socialized and loves being with her humans, playing with toys, receiving hugs and kisses, cuddling on the couch and receiving belly rubs. We think LAYLA will stay on the petite side as an adult.

ADOPTED – BUCKLEY
ADOPTED - BUCKLEY (BUCK BUCK) is an 11 week male bundle of joy. This 14 pound, tri-colored Border collie mix loves life. He has fun no matter what he’s doing. He enjoys being petted, will follow you around everywhere, and enjoys playing with his three adult dog siblings. He can be a little shy when he first meets another dog, but quickly gains confidence. He is not shy at all when meeting people. He loves everyone he meets. BUCKLEY would love another dog to learn from and hang out with, but may do well in a home as an only dog if his family wants to spend lots of time with him. If there is not another dog in the family he would benefit from play dates with other dogs.

ADOPTED – SALLY
ADOPTED - Little 17 pound SALLY is an adorable Borgi, a border collie/corgi mix. Sally has the size & short legs of a corgi with the zip & smarts of a border collie. She loves learning new things & is lightning fast. Flyball height dog anyone? When Sally first came into rescue, she was easily overwhelmed & was reluctant to engage in anything with her foster mom. But Sally is quick to warm up when she gets to know someone. Within a couple of days in her foster home, she was running wild zoomies in the backyard, retrieving toys & bringing them back every time (she obviously learned this in her previous home), & seeking pets & lap time with her foster mom. Sally crate-trained in a fingersnap & has never had an accident in her foster home.
