ADOPTED – Meet SMOKY, a 1 year-old border collie mix of about 70 lbs, ready to start the new year in his new home.  Smoky is a strong, athletic, & agile boy, who would love to have an exercise buddy to go on adventures with, to run & play with, & then to hang out afterwards.  He is still very much a puppy despite his size.  The good news is that Smoky is a fast learner, & he loves treats & toys, so training with him is going to be fun & rewarding.  He adapts to routines very quickly.  He learned “sit” in a matter of minutes!  Smoky is acclimated to a crate, sleeping in his crate at night, but with the door open.  He is good about going potty outside (90% of the time & with a good routine).  His leash manners are coming along; he pulls a little in general & he still pulls a lot when he sees a squirrel or a small dog.

ADOPTED – Small but mighty, PASH & LIKER are very much alike.  Their foster mom calls them “The Twins.”  Not only do they look alike, but they have very similar personalities; fun-loving, silly, social, & confident.  There isn’t anything these two don’t like to try. “The Twins” love the agility play tunnel. Both of them really live running through and rolling it and will pretty much try anything.

ADOPTED – KIND is the Leader of the Pack – He wants to please, takes positively to correction so should be fun to train. Like his siblings, KIND  is an active pup, and loves to cuddle.  All toys & games are on his list of favorite activities. He gives warm crazy kisses and likes to be talked to directly. Loves tug toys and is super sweet with me!

ADOPTED – DEAR is a sweet girlie.  Like her siblings, she likes to tug & to play with balls & stuffed toys (stuffing removed), but she is also a contented puppy. When you talk to her she will wave at you with her right front leg. DEAR’s favorite thing is to give you lots of sweet smelling puppy kisses with no bites. Chew toys are becoming very much popular with her!!!

ADOPTED – JOSIE is an energetic 8-year-old girl of about 40#.  Everyone who meets her loves her.  She is friendly and social with everyone she meets, and has gotten along just fine with the dogs in her foster home; we can’t say how she is with cats.  She loves to play and romp, but she settles nicely, happy to curl up in her bed with a bone or chewy toy.  She is not over-the-top like some border collies and has an off-switch.  JOSIE is very treat-motivated and loves toys, so they can both be used to motivate her in training.

Mama Mercy’s 7 pups are a few days past 8-weeks-old (born around 10/1/21), & they are excited about finding their forever homes.  Their average weight is 7 pounds, so we predict that they will be medium-sized dogs as adults.  Mama weighs about 36 pounds.  We don’t know who the dad or dads are, so we are offering an educated guess on the pups’ adult sizes.  Mama Mercy (Photo 5) will be available for Adoption after her spay. Say hello to our sweet little COOPER, a 1yr old BC mix. He is a great size at 25lbs and has a creamy white smooth coat with a 1/3 cropped tail. COOPER is a soft boy who loves his people, other dogs and cats alike. He gets along great with everyone and would be happiest in a home with other dogs and cats. He really loves the cats in his foster home. During the day he plays with them (gently) and cuddles with them in the evenings on the couch. His foster mom has never seen a dog who loves cats so much. He also loves to play and wrestle with the other dogs as well.

Meet CARL (Carl’s Junior), a 5-month-old, 25# pup, who came into rescue with his brother Bob (Bob’s Big Boy).  Carl is a beautiful black & white smooth-coated border collie/McNab mix puppy, who is not just a pretty face.  Carl’s foster mom says he is the most loving, sweetest puppy she has ever fostered!  His favorite resting place is on his foster’s mom’s chest with his head wrapped around her neck! 

ADOPTION PENDING – JESSIE is an active, affectionate ball-chasing young lady. She loves people and people love her. She also gets along well with other dogs. She does not let her birth challenges; zero hearing and limited vision, slow her down in the least. She lives a pretty normal life, but would benefit greatly from having another dog buddy to pair up with for play time. As you can see from the video she loves to run and play hard. Her dog buddy should be able to match her activity level and enthusiasm for play and companionship, particularly when out in the yard. Inside she prefers hanging with her people or just picking a quiet spot in which to rest.

Meet ARCHIE, a very sweet 1.5-year-old male beautifully marked smooth coat brown and white border collie.  He weighs in at a slim and slender 32 pounds and stands about 18.5 inches at the shoulder.  ARCHIE is looking for a loving and caring home. ARCHIE has been a gentleman when inside the house and has not soiled his crate or kennel.  ARCHIE seldom if ever barks.  However, when insecure, licking and jumping have been an issue.  Through consistent and gentle training, ARCHIE is quickly learning to curb these behaviors.
