Meet COOPER, a sweet 8-year-old senior looking to spend his golden years in a slow-paced loving home. COOPER is a medium coat Border Collie lab mix, weighing in at 49 pounds. ADOPTED DOLLY

February 15, 2021/in 2020, Alumni

My name is DOLLY. I’m a single, “sweet as can be” female and 16-months-old. A lady never tells her weight, but I’m 40-something pounds. Let’s keep that between us. My friends say, “I’m a wild and crazy gal” because I’m always excited to play and often the life of the party. I also love playing in water. I was able to check out a shallow pond recently and had a blast playing and splashing around. Not sure I want to swim, but maybe…but the water wasn’t deep enough to try.

Adopted Blu

February 10, 2021/in 2020, Alumni

SPECIAL NEEDS DOG – PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE APPLYING

Meet BLU, a sweet ~2-year-old boy looking for a loving home. BLU is a beautifully marked medium coat Border Collie mix, weighing in at 38 pounds. BLU may have been under-socialized as a puppy as he is a dog sensitive to change and/or to environments where he feels he has no control. He wants to trust and loves to play with other dogs, but has a high startle response. He is happiest when he has a dog buddy, a calm household, and a solid routine.

Adopted – Reed

January 22, 2021/in 2020, Alumni

A big hello to our handsome boy REED! Our 2 year old energetic young male Border Collie mix is a sweet ❤ heart who loves to have fun with the other Border Collies at his foster home. He and two other 2 year olds spend a lot of quality time wrestling, chasing and playing tug with the abundant stuffed toys in and about the house and garden.

Adopted – Treef

January 9, 2021/in 2020, Alumni

Meet TREEF, a sweet 1 year old boy of 52 pounds with a beautiful rough coat and classic black & white markings.

ADOPTED LOGAN

November 17, 2020/in 2020, Alumni

LOGAN is a 2 year old neutered male tri colored border collie. This handsome boy came into rescue somewhat shy and has been warming up to his foster mom and dad and clearly enjoys his 5 bc foster brothers and sisters. He plays endless games of chase and wrestle with our younger dogs, shows a bit too much interest in the resident cat Pucklechurch, however he is easily called off and understands that cats are to be respected! He’s enjoying playing with dog toys but you’ll need to keep an eye on socks and shoes as he rather likes to steal them and do a bit of chewing.

Adopted – Teddy

October 24, 2020/in 2020, Alumni

Meet TEDDY, a sweet 1 ½ year old boy of 45 pounds with a beautiful rough coat and classic black & white markings.
TEDDY is very social with people. He loves hugs, pets, giving kisses, and hanging near his people. TEDDY gets along well with his foster BC pack mates and shows high drive behavior. This includes play nipping, vocalizing when excited, and experiencing some anxiety with change (e.g. not with his human/dog pack, transitioning to a new home, etc.). His foster family has been using positive reinforcement, watching him improve every day.

ADOPTED Sadie

October 2, 2020/in 2020, Alumni

WOOF! A big hello from our lovely SADIE. She is a 4 year old, 40 lb. black and white rough coat female Border Collie. SADIE came to us a bit shy and quiet, she observed the other 5 Border Collies in in her foster home and worked at fitting in. Within a few days she was running with the other females and chasing the males….much to our amusement! She had found her place!

Adopted – Milo formerly Levias (Liv)

October 1, 2020/in 2020, Alumni

Meet MILO, a sweet 3 year old boy of 65 pounds with beautiful markings, ticking, and a medium rough coat.
MILO is very social with people and loves to give hugs and kisses. Although he really can’t fit into a lap, he is very happy to try in order to be close to his human. MILO gets along well with his three foster BC packmates, and does show some herding (drive) behaviors when running and barking are involved.

Jasper adopted 3-1-20

September 6, 2020/in Success Stories

It has been 6 months now since we adopted Jasper, just wanted to give you a quick update. He loves quarantine, gained weight pretty quickly and had 3 teeth extracted in June (Including a canine!)
Jasper completed his first training class last month and goes to a barn hunt every week, even finds the rats faster than our mutt Bold who has been doing it for a year now.
I am hoping to thru-hike the Tahoe Rim Trail next year with him, so we did some trial backpacking trips this summer. He is great company on the trail and loves al the time outdoors

ADOPTED – MONTY

August 22, 2020/in 2020, Alumni

Meet MONTY, a super sweet 1 1/2-year-old BC-Corgi-Cardigan mix looking for his forever home. MONTY’s personality fills the room! This happy boy over-shares his affection with other dogs, kissing their face and exuberantly inviting play. He is the life of the party and loves rough and tumble wrestling. His foster BC pack is (pretty much) used to him now, turning their heads to redirect the face kisses and occasionally issuing a ‘knock it off’ warning growl; then returning back to puppy play!

ADOPTED – Sissy

August 7, 2020/in 2020, Alumni

Meet SISSY, an 8 ½ year old girl of 42 pounds with a smooth coat with beautiful ticking on her legs, chest and neck. SISSY is a super sweet dog with a mellow personality. She loves to be petted and hear kind words from her humans, has a great warning bark when delivery people show up, and has been an easy houseguest.

ADOPTED Finn

July 11, 2020/in 2020, Alumni

Meet FINN, a 1 ½ year old Border Collie with beautiful markings, stand-up ears, and a lovely smooth coat. At 42 pounds, he is a medium-size boy with a light frame. FINN loves to play with his squeaky toys and be close to his human(s), but has also adapted to his foster BC packmates (and all their funny quirks).

April 8, 2020/in 2020, Alumni

Introducing our beautiful blonde female border collie, LUNA! Our LUNA is a rather rare in coloring BC in the tan/ yellow/blond recessive end of the color chart. Her nose has a liver color, known as a “Dudley nose” referring to the liver colored pigmentation of her nose and around her eyes. The result is absolutely lovely in Miss LUNA. At about 8 months old and 40 lbs LUNA is a bouncy girl, all personality and fun.
